Worth Hawes is a junior from Germantown, Tennessee. As well as majoring in Philosophy, he is an Independent Scholar in Twentieth Century Thought. He is a Phi Beta Kappa scholar, a member of Phi Sigma Tau (National Philosophy Honor Society), and Chairman of Red and Black (LFC's Academic Society). Currently, he is the vice-president of Student Government and the chair of College Life Advisory Board. Past accomplishments include the Richter Scholar program, the Fran Asher Prize for Excellence in Philosophy, the Emma O. Haas Award for Scholarship, and last year's Pauker Prize in Writing. In his free time--and when he's not working as a tutor in the Writing Center--he enjoys playing and composing music for the guitar.
