Abstract

This presentation is the culmination of a semester-long research paper on the influence of biodiversity pertaining to the Neolithic Revolution. My research makes two conclusions. First, biodiversity changed from one region to another, which affected the development of agriculture in early human history. Second, the affluence of most modern societies heavily depends on what resources past civilizations had available to them. Subsequently, this distribution of resources in any given area affected innovation, culture, and prosperity.
