Abstract

Following up from last year's symposium talk on associative operations of finite order where empirical data suggested that every finite semigroups have at least one idempotent, we are able to prove that this is indeed true. This chain of events is reflective of many types of modern mathematical research as it involved using computer power to shed light on possible new theorems.
