Abstract

During this performance, singer-songwriter Victor Fisher will present a collection of original music influenced by “The Reverend Movement.” Donning the voice of “The Reverend,” Fisher will perform these songs on the guitar and discuss the philosophical foundation for his musical ideas, his belief that despair is the precursor to greatness. Greatly influenced by performers from a variety of subgenres found within Heavy Metal, as well as a host of performance artists and actors engaging with this ideology, Fisher aims to take his audience on a transformational journey into darkness, where one might freely confront the complexities of the shadow self.
