    • We also welcome submissions from the natural and quantitative sciences so long as the paper significantly incorporates a topic that falls under one of the above disciplines.
  • Papers submitted via email or in hard copy will not be considered. Submissions must be made online.
  • We have a blind peer review process to ensure that our final decision on each submission is without bias. Submissions that include any identifying information about the author will be disqualified.
  • Regrettably, at this time we are only able to accept submissions written in English and Spanish. However, we encourage translations of original papers written in other languages.
  • Expectations of Author

    • There are three categories in our decision process: reject, revise/resubmit, and accept.
      • If your paper is rejected, you may request the comments and evaluations of the peer reviewers. Your paper is ineligible for resubmission this year, but we encourage you to submit again to future volumes!
      • If your paper falls under the “revise/resubmit” category, the editors will request specific adjustments. You may choose to edit and resubmit your paper, at which point the editors will decide to accept or reject it.
      • If your paper is accepted, congratulations! Please note, however, that you will still be expected to participate in the editorial process (see details below).
    • All accepted authors are expected to work with the editors to make substantive or minor changes to their papers.
    • All accepted authors are expected to present their paper as part of a panel at our annual publication party held in the spring.
    • Submissions do not need to follow Chicago Style. However, if your paper is accepted, you are expected to work with the editors to make any necessary changes.
    • We do accept simultaneous submissions, but if you submit and get accepted by another journal, it is expected that you let us know.

    Style Guide

    • Abridged PDF of our style guide coming soon. You do not have to revise your paper prior to submitting, but know that compliance with this style guide is expected if your paper is accepted.
